Sudipta Sarangi is a leading economist currently serving as Professor and Head of the  Department of Economics at Virginia Tech.         

His research offers insights into the strategic dimensions of human behavior and the role of culture, institutions and behavioral factors. He currently serves as professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Virginia Tech. Previously, he has been a Distinguished Professor of Business Administration at Louisiana State University and Program Director at the National Science Foundation.
